The debut, recorded with the band “Ways” (founded 1988) and dedicated to the memory of their father, Air Force pilot Arnon Livnat, who fell in the Six Day War. Rock and progressive-rock roots meet the first jazz writing of the two brothers.
Aviv's melodies to poems by Cavafy, Fernando Pessoa, Leah Goldberg and others, completed after a year-long musical journey of the two brothers. It was the first release on their own label, Golden Peacock, and was launched together with an exhibition of Aviv's paintings, which also form the album's artwork.
Recorded at the Blue Note jazz club at the end of a 15-concert tour of Poland with the show “Songs Hand-Hammered in Copper”, and broadcast live on Polish national jazz radio. Hasidic nigunim, Yiddish songs and original pieces in a jazz language, played on Polish soil.
